Planchaelec: a French manufacturer of stainless steel electric planchas

Planchaelec manufacturing in France – PLANCHAELEC

A specialised factory in Miribel, in the Ain

Planchaelec is the brand of Société Nouvelle de Montage Industriel. In 1,500 m² of workshops, we manage the entire process: design, engineering, manufacture of the stainless steel parts, assembly, quality control and shipping. This complete control allows us to offer professional-grade planchas and to ship within 48 to 72 working hours (excluding weekends and public holidays).

French manufacturing from raw material to finished product

Manufacturing starts well before assembly. We select high-quality stainless steels from French suppliers. This solid, uncoated stainless steel provides excellent corrosion resistance, fast heat-up and easy cleaning. All cutting, bending and assembly operations are carried out in Miribel: so you can be sure of a genuine stainless steel electric plancha made in France, not simply assembled from imported parts. From stainless steel sheet to your plancha: the manufacturing steps

StepMain actionPurpose
1. Stainless steel selection Choice of solid, uncoated steel Resistance & durability
2. Laser cutting Parts shaped to the millimetre Precision & repeatability
3. CNC bending Forming the plate and frame Rigidity & heat distribution
4. Welding / assembly Skilled manual assembly Strength & sealing
5. Final checks Electrical and heating tests Reliability & safety

Selecting and preparing the stainless steel

Large sheets arrive raw; our teams precisely lay out the cooking plate, surrounding rim, heating element supports and frame parts, in order to make the best use of the material and ensure consistent quality.

High-precision laser cutting

The sheets are laser-cut to obtain clean edges and a geometry that promotes heat distribution and the flow of cooking juices towards the grease tray.

Bending on CNC press brakes

The parts then go through CNC bending; this process guarantees regular angles, a rigid plate and a perfect fit.

Manual welding and assembly

Our welders produce discreet but strong welds. The heating elements, thermostats and electrical components are positioned to optimise heat-up, temperature control and safety.

Finishing, checks and packaging

Deburring, polishing, flatness check, electrical and heating tests: only approved planchas are protected and shipped.
