Are scratches serious on a stainless steel griddle?

If there's one griddle maintenance issue that isn't one, it's this one! Is your griddle made of stainless steel and comes from a French griddle manufacturer, Planchaelec? Don't worry about scratches. They're part of the patina of this type of griddle and contribute to their charm by giving them the appearance of brushed stainless steel. They do not harm this type of appliance in any way, as it is impossible to drill through 3/4 or 5mm thick stainless steel.

Do with your stainless steel electric griddle what you wouldn't do with a Tefal-coated frying pan: cut your food directly on it. You have nothing to worry about; even if you scratch your cooking plate, it will still function properly and allow you to create delicious recipes for a long time.

How much power is needed for an electric griddle?

Planchaelec has chosen not to increase the electrical power of its French electric griddle, unlike its competitors. Our griddles therefore do not have a power greater than 3,600 watts. This way, you can plug them into a simple electrical outlet without worrying about adding an adapter.

The electric griddle designed by us is mounted in such a way as to place a flanged electrical resistance, in order to avoid deformations, directly under the cooking plate, that is to say in contact with it. The entire carcass is insulated from the plate. This system helps to prevent heat loss. The cooking plate therefore quickly rises to 300°, a temperature more than sufficient to sear meat for example.

Why is my griddle sticking?

Griddle cooking isn't complicated. You'll soon be able to sear your meat, cook your vegetables, and enjoy succulent marinated shrimp, all while pleasing your friends and doing your part for your health. The only thing you need to pay attention to is the cooking temperature of your food.

Indeed, not all foods cook at the same temperature on a griddle. If you try to sear vegetables at 300°C, there's a good chance they'll stick, burn, and burn. The temperature isn't right. It's the same process as when you grill a steak in a pan without fat. If you put it on very high heat, you won't sear it, you'll char it.

If your griddle sticks, reduce the cooking temperature of the food you place on it! You'll quickly discover the right temperatures for your food, and your guests will applaud the chef they see in you.
